How do Urban Areas Affect Carbon Emissions

Abstract: This study examines how the urban areas populations and transportations affect carbon emissions leading to climate change. As carbon emissions and the dangers of climate change increase, there is also an increasing need to address these problems in the world.

To investigate this issue, this research uses data collection to understand this trendline. Data were collected from numerous areas in the Bay Area including San Francisco, San Jose, and Berkeley. The findings suggest that the impact of urban areas do affect carbon emissions. Specifically, urban areas tend to have more pollution than rural areas due to transportations and other fossil field machines thus affecting the environment. These results indicate the carbon emissions’ impact on climate change, offering insights into a cleaner and safer future that we could all take if we can solve this challenging problem.
